  How sleepy are you?

This quiz will help you measure your level of daytime sleepiness. Each situation describes a normal situation you could likely encounter during the course of your day. Rate how likely you would be to fall asleep in the following situations.

Note**  This is not intended for use as a means of self diagnosis, but rather as a tool for you to use to assess your level of daytime sleepiness which could be a symptom of a sleep disorder.
How likely you would be to fall asleep (actually fall asleep, not just feel tired) in the following situations?
Sitting and reading
Watching television
Sitting inactive in a public place such as a theater or a meeting
As a passenger in a car for an hour without a break
Lying down to rest in the afternoon when circumstances permit
Sitting and talking to someone
Sitting quietly after lunch
(when you've had no alcohol)
In a car, while stopped for a few minutes in the traffic
**Total Score:
A score greater than "10" indicates a definite concern as it shows significant excessive daytime sleepiness. A visit to a sleep specialist to determine the cause of the excessive daytime sleepiness and to treat it is the recommended course of action.
